kanzaki hiro/hiroyuki oda/HSP
even more than usual experts or masters of their discipline, I’m actually intimidated by creatives that seem to demonstrate an unbelievable flexibility to thrive across multiple eras and types of fandom when most are perfectly happy to exist in the lane they find comfort in, or just don’t achieve similar fame as they move between them
HSP has, chronologically:
- composed and remixed some of the earliest nico-era vocaloid hits that weren’t just using miku as a denpa vehicle ( 【初音ミク】プラグアウト【オリジナル】)
- designed probably some of the most famous and often borrowed character designs in oreimo and eromanga-sensei 1
- become hololive’s strongest papa with himemori luna by providing the base design, outfits, and multiple compositions
this is a breadth and level of high profile output that you really don’t see from one person that often, and again I’m reminded how cool it is that the doujin ecosystem allows total leverage for creatives to go from “finger on the pulse” to “successful trendsetter” by giving them a base plot and tools to build on

before even becoming a name people would recognize, he worked as a KA on PPD and ichigo mashimaro, so I think anything beyond that we probably just consider ever-growing good guy surplus ↩
